The Fellowship/Agape Ministry is a very special one because of it personal nature. If we define the two words it will specify its work:

Fellowship - The ability of participation in a friendly relationship, a sharing on one's life, interest and common bond. Developing a closeness.

Agape- Unconditional affection and love for one's brother or sister in Christ. (l Col. 13)

Fellowship and love is important to Church growth and is conducive to holding and attracting others to Christ. It was Jesus who said:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples. if you have love for one another." (John 13:34-35)

To help encourage love and fellowship in a growing congregation this ministry responsibility will be seeking out ways and means to fellow-ship whether in small groups, congregational and with other congregations in area. The main objective is to get people together. Here is where this ministry and the Involvement Ministry will overlap with the BKU meetings, etc. of the Involvement Ministry.

The Fellowship/Agape Ministry will maintain a monthly calendar visible to all, setting dates for all get togethers, organizing menus for meals served at the building, food to families for funerals, food to the sick, setting up for meals and kitchen details, taking care of odd jobs such as the mowing of lawns, shoveling snows small repairs, laundry, house cleaning, and the normal duties of our elderly, shut-ins and sick. The overall ministry to our Sr. saints (our elderly) will be included under this area.

This ministry is a vital one with the overall objective of developing ways to show our love for one another.

(Brothers and sisters may serve in this area.)
